Problem Note 57737: "I/O error during 'open' operation" or "No such file or directory" occurs when you use the SAS® Federation Server 4.1 backup utility with SQL Logging
When you try to run the backup utility dfsutil with SQL Logging in SAS Federation Server 4.1 on a UNIX machine, the following error occurs:
Backing up database...
gbak: ERROR:I/O error during "open" operation for file "/opt/sas/config/Lev1/FederationServer/var/SQL_LOG.TDB"
gbak: ERROR: Error while trying to open file
gbak: ERROR: No such file or directory
gbak:Exiting before completion due to errors
ERROR: gbak exited with error code
The dfsutil backup utility does not work with SQL_LOG on UNIX machines because of an issue with the script provided in the installation depot.

When used with SQL Logging, the SAS Federation Server 4.1 dfsutil backup utility does not work as documented in the SAS® Federation Server 4.2: Administrator's Guide. The dfsutil utility does not work with SQL_LOG on UNIX machines due to an issue with the script provided in the installation depot.
